A New ‘Pokémon’ Mobile Game Just Launched In Australia Out Of Nowhere

A new bloody Pokémon game has dropped out of nowhere and is available to Android users in Australia right now. It’s titled Pokémon Rumble Rush and was created by the team behind the Pokémon Rumble games – Ambrella – on Nintendo‘s 3DS and Wii U.

As far as what you do in the game goes, it can be played with one hand, so it’s not incredibly involved. Starting out as a peasant Rattata, you’ll explore an island, capture wild Pokémon, and do some kind of battling.

It sounds like you’ll be taking on a number of stages which you’ll need to clear as fast as you can, which makes sense given the ‘Rush’ part of the title. You’ll tap the screen to attack and clearing stages will give you access to upgrades and stronger Pokémon.

As the Android download page says, items you collect will help you get new gear and moves for your Pokémans.

“You’ll sometimes receive ore when you clear a stage. Refine ore to get power gears that you can use to make your Pokémon stronger,” it says. “You may even be able to refine ore into a summon gear that calls forth a Pokémon to use a powerful move. Use power gears and summon gears to help your favourite Pokémon do well!”

Sounds pretty straight forward. Android users can get in on the action right now via the Google Play store, with an iOS version coming at a later date.
