The iconic voice of Mario, Charles Martinet, has just copped a Guinness World Record for his work as the character, with his performance on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate capping off an impressive total.

The official award is for the most video game voiceover performances as the same character, which, of course, is Mario voiced 100 times over multiple Nintendo games.
Martinet broke the news via Twitter, posting an image of himself receiving the award and thanking Nintendo. Suss it out below.

Martinet has also voiced other Nintendo characters like Wario, Luigi, and Waluigi, as well as their baby variants.
I was lucky enough to meet the man himself at E3 in 2017, where he gave PEDESTRIAN.TV a shoutout and I straight up lost my mind. He’s without a doubt one of the nicest blokes I’ve ever met. He’s was under no obligation to venture outside of Nintendo’s booth, but he loves doing the voice for fans so much, he wandered around the event anyway.
