Ass-kicking actor Keanu Reeves showed up at Xbox‘s E3 briefing today outta fucking nowhere, not only to reveal that he’ll be starring in the upcoming game Cyberpunk 2077 but also to present us with its highly anticipated release date.

A new trailer was unveiled during the briefing in which Keanu was shown at the very end. As the crowd rightfully lost its fucking mind, old mate appeared on stage in the flesh to talk about his role in the game.

You can see the trailer and Keanu’s appearance in the video below.

Cyberpunk 2077 is in development with CD Projekt Red, the studio behind the incredibly popular series, The Witcher, so it’s safe to say fans are gagging for this new title.

From what we’ve seen so far, it looks absolutely insane, with all of the RPG elements The Witcher is famous for, along with what looks to be the open world freedom of games like GTA 5.

As revealed by Keanu himself, Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on April 16, 2020, so it seems like it’s going to appear on current generation hardware, but I’d say it’ll also launch on whatever the next-gen consoles turn out to be, kinda like GTA 5 did.

I, for one, can’t wait to find out more about Keanu’s part in Cyberpunk 2077. Luckily, I have a behind closed doors session with the game later this week, so hopefully, I’ll find out more then.
