A World-Renowned Aussie Game Producer Is Running A Masterclass In April

Have you ever dreamed of making your own game? Maybe you have an idea in your head for an absolute belter of a title, but aren’t really sure where to start.

If this sounds like you, good news, there’s an upcoming masterclass that might just be the inspiration you need, thanks to RACV, who wanna help you get the most out of gaming.

The class is run by Girl Geek Academy co-founder, Lisy Kane, who is a renowned video game producer known worldwide for her amazing work. As well as curating and producing Australia’s first all-women game-making days – #SheMakesGames and #SheHacksGames – Kane also made the Forbes Top 30 Under 30 2017: Games list as the only Aussie.

In other words, Kane knows what she’s doing and is the absolute perfect person to run RACV’s gaming session, which is all about what it takes to launch your own game. She’s worked on popular games like Armello, Hand of Fate, and Push Me Pull You.

The session will cover the game creation process, the skills needed, the different types of roles involved, and some industry insights from the pro herself. There’ll also be a Q&A session afterwards for those who have specific questions about the industry or what’s involved in making video games.

No matter what your level of expertise is, or the gaming prowess you possess, you only need one thing to attend this class – a passion for gaming that you wanna crank up to the next level. You’ll almost certainly walk away with some incredibly valuable info and practical tips from someone who actually lives it.

But even more than a class, you’ll also have a unique opportunity to meet and network with like-minded gamers who share your passion.

If you’re keen to get involved, you can register for your chance to attend the class below. We’re hosting the event on the evening of Wednesday the 18th of April at the Monash University Sir John’s Bar. There’ll be some free drinks flowing on the night, so come and have a bevvy or two with us.

If you’re lucky enough to score a seat, we’ll be in contact with you.

In the meantime, make sure the gaming stuff you just can’t live without is protected with RACV’s Single Item Insurance. Because we all know how expensive gaming hardware can get.

Cover starts from as little as $2.17 a month and everything is managed online through the Single Item Insurance Portal, where you can instantly file a claim if something goes wrong.
