Ahh Peggle. The amazingly fun puzzle game I can attribute to at least two semesters of poor uni performance. If you have no idea what the fuck I’m talking about, good news: You can now download the game for free on PC.
EA‘s gaming platform Origin is where the deal is going down, so you’ll have to sign up for that if you’re not already a member, but that’s totally free and easy to do. You can grab Peggle on both PC and Mac, which usually costs around 5 bucks, but for a limited time, will set you back sweet fuck all.
If you’ve never played it before, the aim is pretty simple – to hit a number of orange pegs amongst a sea of blue ones within 10 shots. Hitting gnarly shots will reward you with extra balls and green pegs will grant special powers depending on the character you’re playing as.

Once you finish the main game, there’s a whole bunch of challenges that get so hard it’s infuriating, but still manages to give you a serious case of the ‘Just One More Go’ sickness.
It’s great for when you feel like listening to music but also wanna play something. Just turn the game music down, whack a playlist on in the background and be consumed by the grooves. Bueno.
