‘Far Cry 5’ Expansion ‘Lost On Mars’ Finally Cops A Release Date & It’s Soon

So you’ve liberated Hope County from cultist scum and fought your way through Vietnam-themed DLC, so what else can you get up to in Ubisoft‘s latest shooter, Far Cry 5? Welp, apart from creating your own maps and challenges in Far Cry Arcade, the game’s second DLC expansion, Lost on Mars, has finally got a release date, and it’s pretty soon.

Coming out on July 17, the expansion puts you into the shoes of Nick Rye as he battles to save Earth from a wild alien invasion… But on Mars. You’ll get to play around with a whole heap of new weapons, including the Blaster of Disaster, Hellfire and Morphinator, as well as something called the Space Jets traversal tool. You can suss out the teaser trailer below.

But if you wanna get your digital hands on some new gear before the DLC drops, you totally can. A bunch of the Mars-themed assets are available to use in Far Cry Arcade right now, usable in current or new maps. If you want to use the new weapons, with great names such as the Obliteratorrrr, Taser Phazer Annihilazer, Nerve Reaper, and Grape Popper, you’ll need to purchase the expansion.

The final piece of the three main DLC packs, Dead Living Zombies, is due for release in August. As the name suggests, you’ll be fucking with a lot of zombies.
