The new God of War is an amazingly good game. In fact, it’s now the fastest-selling PlayStation 4 exclusive ever, as well as the second highest-rated according to Metacritic (it had a stint in first place, but The Last of Us is holding on to that crown very tightly).
Within just three days of its release, Sony sold a whopping 3.1 million copies, the company announced today. It’s a huge achievement and one worthy of praise for the game’s development team.
As he often does, talk show host Conan O’Brien got his grubby mitts on the title for his segment, Clueless Gamer, in which he fumbles his way through a game while making wisecracks about it. It’s a bloody laugh riot.
For his latest episode, Conan sat down with comedian and actor Bill Hader to play through various parts of God of War. “You know if you just walked in you’d think this man was chasing a boy with an axe,” Conan says the second the game starts.
Be warned, there are lots of jokes about Atreus‘ dead mother. “Remember when your mother died and we burned her? The therapist said I probably shouldn’t have let you watch that,” Conan says.
The duo then visit the witch of the woods, who just so happens to live in an enormous turtle. “I guess let’s go into the turtle now, like a couple of nerds in a nerd story,” Hader says.
