I mean, I’m just assuming it tastes good, I’ve never actually eaten bear meat, but I gotta say, it looks pretty tasty. He also adds deer and rabbit meat, along with carrots, potatoes, onions, celery, and a few herbs. It’s even cooked over an open fire, just how RDR2’s main character, Arthur Morgan, would do it.

You can watch his amusing cook up in the video below. He tries talking like Arthur for a good portion of the clip, but gives up at one point and to be honest, I don’t blame him.

Looks good, right? Stew is a standard meal in the RDR2 world, usually eaten at your gang’s camp a couple of times a day. Babish does point out the lack of mushrooms, which are included in the in-game stew, but sometimes you just forget these things, you know?

Old mate reckons the meal is actually Brunswick Stew, which was first made in 1898. “The game was set in 1899, so Pearson was kind of a trend setter,” he says in the video.

There you have it, folks, now you can make a bear stew of your own if you’re into that kinda thing. I’ll keep it in the game, I reckon.
