Aussie Twitch Streamer Caught On Air Telling Suicidal Girl “Kill Yourself”

An Australian Twitch streamer known as Aus_Swag has caused controversy on the platform after he told a suicidal girl to kill herself. While the stream in which the incident took place has been removed, a clip of it posted by Reddit user, nv2013, has gone viral, resulting in many calling for the gamer to be banned from Twitch.

While streaming himself playing the game Runescape, Aus_Swag was asked by a friend to call a girl who was allegedly suicidal and provide support for her. “What do I say? I’ll call her,” he says before being advised on how he should handle the situation. Instead of doing that, he simply calls and says, “I think you should just kill yourself, honestly”.

If that wasn’t already bad enough, everyone on the stream voice chat erupted with laughter, including Aus_Swag. It’s sickening to hear, but the clip is below if you’d like to see it for yourself.

It’s not yet known whether Twitch has taken disciplinary action against Aus_Swag – who is partnered on the platform – but many are calling for him to be banned for his behaviour, which, as Reddit user, graayhaat, points out, is clearly marked as harassment in Twitch’s rules.

Another user, beethy, posted a number of updates from the stream in which Aus_Swag allegedly throws up some excuses for his actions.

Update: On stream he said he muted himself while he called her so it doesn’t count. /u/Ausswag, this doesn’t matter since you livestreamed it. So she’d still know that you said it. What a dummy.

Update 2: Best quote “I’m really glad I left toxic me in 2018”. This guy has issues. “I was very drunk btw” “I haven’t harassed anybody” “She’s fine, I didn’t say it to her”. He’s in full damage control mode.

Update 3: “It’s just dark humour guys” “My friends weren’t laughing in that clip, they were shocked” … hmmmmmmm.

Many are calling bullshit on the above and even if he did mute her, it doesn’t make it any less horrible. The streamer has very clearly breached the rules of Twitch and I’d wager the platform will be handing down a ban at some point soon.
