‘Black Panther’ Fans Are Alarmingly Thirsty Over Breakout Star Winston Duke

Winston Duke Black Panther Breakout Star Twitter Thirst

There’s a lot of takeaways from the new Marvel film, Black Panther. It’s arguably the most socially aware of the superhero flicks, with its representation of black culture. It is also the most female-driven, with a slew of women kicking a huge amount of arse on-screen. But another thing that fans are thanking the movie gods for is breakout star Winston Duke.

A former Yale schoolmate of his co-star Lupita Nyong’o, the Tobago-born, US-raised Duke has appeared on telly in shows like Modern Family, Major Crimes and Person of Interest. Black Panther is the 31-year-old’s first big-screen role, and he completely owns every scene he’s in (and he’s got Avengers: Infinity War on his IMDB profile, so looks like we’ll be seeing more of him.)

If you haven’t seen Black Panther, then seriously it’s been out for a week what the hell are you even doing with your life? And also, a little cheat sheet for you: Duke plays M’Baku, one of the villains of the movie who heads up the mountain-dwelling Jabari tribe in Wakanda and positions himself as T’Challa‘s (Chadwick Boseman) rival.

Another point, which I won’t personally make because WHO AM I TO OBJECTIFY A MAN, is that Duke is, well, extremely hot.

Before you get up me for being sexist and encouraging double standards and ‘if this was a woman you’d get slammed for this article’ etc, just LOOK AT TWITTER.

It’s the Twitter people bringing the thirst, I swear!

Hornbags, the lot of ’em.

I mean, really:

I’m honestly scandalised:

Straight to Horny Jail for you, my friend (also SAME):

With all the hysteria surrounding Duke, it’s no surprise that people did some digging into his personal life. And sometimes, the truth hurts:

Waaaahhhhh NO.

Ah well, we can still dream. And watch Black Panther repeatedly.
