Sometimes, all your day needs is a picture of Will Smith beaming directly at you. Friends, today’s offering is an absolute belter.
Taking to Facebook, the Hollywood monolith took it upon himself to share another image of his mug – Will, thank you – with some very notable additions.
Standing alongside Smith are the stars of Disney’s upcoming live-action Aladdin remake: Mena Massoud, who plays the titular carpet-flyer; Naomi Scott, who portrays Princess Jasmine; and Marwan Kenzari, who is up to play ne’er-do-well Jafar.
Smith is the Genie. Because of course he is.
LOOK AT THEM. LOOK.
Outside of mastering the fine art of the selfie, the image tells us a few things: chemistry on-set is pretty bloody high, and judging by the set over on the left, production is well underway.
Notably absent is actor Billy Magnussen, a new addition to Guy Ritchie‘s flick who will be playing never-before-seen character Prince Anders. Sucks for him not to be included in such a grouse team photo, but it’s not like he hasn’t been in entertainment news lately: some fans of the original cartoon are livid that a white actor has been given a new role in a flick that was just fine without a cavalcade of European characters.
The film doesn’t yet have a release date, but the aforementioned image should be enough to see you through until Aladdin’s arrival.
