Before today, if you had asked me what movie I was dying to see in 2019, a gender-flipped remake of Mel Gibson‘s What Women Want would probably have been pretty low on the list, but now the new red band trailer for What Men Want is here, and it’s pretty much all I can think about.
The upcoming film stars Empire‘s Taraji P. Henson as a high-powered sports agent who takes a knock to the head after getting passed over for a big promotion, and develops the ability to read the thoughts of the men around her.
The supporting cast of this movie is truly insane, and I don’t even really know where to start, but let’s go with Twilight star Kellan Lutz, who plays a character called Captain Fucktastic, in what may be the defining role of his career.
Also appearing, in no particular order, are Aldis Hodge, Shaquille O’Neal, Tracy Morgan, Erykah Badu, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Josh Brener and Max Greenfield, as well as Pete Davidson, playing some kind of foul-mouthed business bro.
What Men Want is out in Australia on January 10, 2019. Taraji P. Henson also lent her voice to Ralph Breaks The Internet, which is in cinemas locally this week.
