A new season of Westworld is on the way, folks, and its first trailer has one helluva different vibe. It also gives us our first look at Aaron Paul in the season’s leading role.

It doesn’t give a whole lot away, but it looks as though Paul’s character is some kind of manual worker who dabbles in a life of crime, but is keen to move on to better, more wholesome things.

Yeah, that certainly looks like Delores staggering around at the end there, which makes me think that futuristic Jesse Pinkman is in for a wild ride. It also looks like we’ll get a better look at the world outside of the theme parks from the previous seasons. There seems to be a lot of cool-ass tech going on there, that’s for sure.
As a big Pink Floyd fan, I’d also like to point out that the use of the song Brain Damage really speaks to me on a personal level. Well played, HBO.
The trailer aired before the last ever episode of Game of Thrones, which will give something for HBO Stans to look forward to, even if it doesn’t come out until 2020. That’s right, there’s still a little while to wait.
I, for one, am looking forward to Breaking Bad set in the future.
