Last night was a big one for television host Grant Denyer, who won the Gold Logie for the most popular personality on Australian TV. Arguably, it was an even huger occasion for Tom Gleeson.
And here he is, at the Logies ceremony, celebrating Denyer’s monumental win.
Thank you so much to everyone who voted #Denyer4Gold. You made a bald middle aged man very happy. #HardChat #TheWeekly pic.twitter.com/K9TTivtKCy

ICYMI, Hard Quiz host Gleeson was absolutely captivated by the fact Denyer was nominated for the award, despite the cancellation of his flailing game show Family Feud.
When Denyer appeared on Hard Quiz for the ritualistic roast session that is the Hard Chat, Gleeson excoriated the awards show – and decided he’d spend his time campaigning for his game show compatriot.
Big day for the #Denyer4Gold movement. Let’s go back to the #HardChat that started it all. Vote here: https://t.co/oIgKOm3nip https://t.co/YyjaVNigaL

Thanks to the Logies opening up voting to the television-watching public, Gleeson’s tongue-in-cheek #Denyer4Gold campaign seems to have bolstered Denyer’s chances.
He defeated Amanda Keller, Andrew Winter, Jessica Marais, Tracy Grimshaw, and Rodger Corser for the accolade.
And maybe, just maybe, Denyer can return the favour next time around.
