In some exciting news, the brand new Veronica Mars series has welcomed another familiar face back to Neptune – Adam Rose, AKA Max.
Max, the lad who used to make money off of selling test answers to fellow students, was a recurring character in the original series, season three. You’ll remember him from that time he asked Veronica to help him track down a girl he met at Comic Con. It was a whole affair.
Per TVLine, Max is now the owner/operator of How High Are You? As the name suggests, this is Neptune‘s marijuana dispensary.
Since this new eight-part series takes place five years after the TV movie, here’s hoping Mac (Tina Majorino) also makes a comeback. Max and Mac had a cute little thing back in season three.
The rebooted series will also see the return of Kristen Bell in the titular role, Jason Dohring as Logan Echolls, Percy Daggs III as Wallace Fennel, Enrico Colantoni as Keith Mars, Francis Capra as Eli Navarro, Ryan Hansen as Dick Casablancas, Max Greenfield as Leo D’Amato, and Daren Norris as Cliff McCormack.
And, Academy Award winner J.K. Simmons recently joined the cast as ex-con Clyde Prickett.
During his ten years in jail, Clyde protected Richard ‘Big Dick’ Casablancas and now spends his time on the outside as Big Dick’s fixer… whatever that means.
The bloke also has this whole network of ex-cons so this should be interesting.
Not to mention, Patton Oswalt and Dawnn Lewis have also joined the cast.
There’s yet to be an official release date for the series but it’s expected to land on Hulu this year.
Spring breakers are getting murdered in Neptune, thereby decimating the seaside town’s lifeblood tourist industry. After Mars Investigations is hired by the parents of one of the victims to find their son’s killer, Veronica is drawn into an epic eight-episode mystery that pits the enclave’s wealthy elites, who would rather put an end to the month-long bacchanalia, against a working class that relies on the cash influx that comes with being the West Coast’s answer to Daytona Beach.
