After three seasons and a movie, everyone’s favourite snarky detective Veronica Mars is coming back for a fresh batch of episodes, and the teaser trailer arrived overnight.

Kristen Bell is still in fine form as the title character, and the plot, as far as we know, centres around a series of murders during spring break, which put a damper on the local tourist industry.
“Spring break in Neptune – that means drunks, derelicts, flashers, frat boys, sorority vomit, pickpockets, bottomless drinks and topless dancers, street scum and beach bums,” says Veronica.
“And that’s just the walk to my car.”
Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas referred to this new season as “hardcore So-Cal noir”, so we’re definitely in for something dark and mysterious.
Season four consists of eight episodes, and is set to premiere on US streaming service Hulu on July 26. There’s no word on if and when it will be streaming in Australia, but we’ll keep you posted.
