Mahershala Ali Gets Gritty In The Very First Trailer For ‘True Detective’ S3

Season One heralded the McConnaissance. Season Two saw Vince Vaughn wrap his mouth around the word “apoplectic”. Now, Season Three of True Detective is approaching, and it promises Mahershala Ali flipping back and forwards through time to solve yet another cryptic mystery.

The first clip of the new HBO series shows Ali’s Arkansas State Police detective patrolling the Ozarks, as he attempts to piece together a grisly crime across three separate time periods.

Joining the Academy Award winner: Carmen Ejogo and Stephen Dorff, who will each play pivotal roles in the unfurling chaos.

The new season, created by Nic Pizzolatto, will hit HBO in January. It’ll likely pop up on Foxtel for Aussie audiences shortly after. Get keen.
