YIEW: Triple J Just Announced A New Live Music TV Show Is Comin’ To Telly

It’s not all chaos over at the ABC, because Triple J has just announced a brand new telly show celebrating live Australian music will be hitting your screens real bloody soon.

Triple J mainstays Linda Marigliano and Dylan Alcott are slated to host The Set, a brand-spankers new program dedicated to bringing more live music on our televisual networks.

A sneaky Instagram Story Marigliano posted overnight shows the folks have been keeping this one under wraps for a hot minute, too.

Real washing basket hours, who up?

Each Wednesday at 9.30pm from October 31, The Set will host artists and two hand-picked musical guests of their choosing.

The broadcaster says this unique arrangement will result in big guns like Angus and Julia Stone, Vera Blue, and The Presets smashing together with names like Baker Boy, Angie McMahon, and Mallrat.

And the whole thing will be shot before a live studio audience of 250 keen punters.

The announcement comes after the arrival of Channel 9′s Jam Live and MTV‘s Aussie Unplugged sessions.

Expect to see that madness on ABC and iView, with replays and extra good gear hitting screens each Saturday at 10pm. Also: expect to have mini lounge room moshes when this one takes off.
