We already knew Tom Hardy‘s upcoming Venom flick was unlikely to include any reference to his nemesis Spider-Man – let alone Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, he of the Marvel Cinematic Universe – but the first trailer doesn’t even have bloody Venom in it.
Instead, we’ve been granted a minute of car-flipping, chopper-riding, wreckage-inspecting goodness from director Ruben Fleischer. Still cool, but, you know.
The film is expected to hit screens in U.S. screens October. Judging by his preference for masks, this trailer may actually be the only footage of his uncovered face in the entire film.
