‘Cos Toy Story 3 just wasn’t sad enough, Toy Story 4 will apparently be on a whole different level.

In an interview on BBC‘s The Chris Evans Breakfast Show (not Captain America) Tom Hanks, who plays Woody, talked about his final day in the studio voicing the iconic character. Though he didn’t give away a single detail of the “impactful ending”, Hanks did describe the final scene as “a moment in history”.

“When I realised what they [creative team] were going for I realised, ‘Oh, this is a moment in history’”.

This roughly translates to aggressive sobbing.

Hanks then discussed just what it is about Toy Story that gets us all emotional and look, something major in this film must have really touched him because things got deep.

“The emotional range of these movies have become more and more deep and profound and affecting and it’s almost a curiosity of why is it so? Because they’re toys! And yet it’s the power of the connection that we all have as children,” Hanks said.

“It is a very, very, very special collection of movies that have been put together that, I think – it hits each one of us in a completely individual way like we carry all of our entire emotional lives in the memories of our individual toys.”

Goddamn it, Tom Hanks.

To make matters worse, remember earlier this year when Tim Allen – Buzz Lightyear – told US show The Talk that he couldn’t get through the last scene?

“It is so emotional, it’s so funny, it’s so big the idea of what they’ve come up with. I’m startled. [Toy Story 3] was, I thought, amazing. This, I couldn’t even get through the last scene. A couple of the scenes toward the end were really hard to get through,” Allen said.

Great, just great.

Toy Story 4 will see Woody and Buzz embark on a quest in search of Woody’s romantic interest, Bo Peep. Expect to see it in cinemas around June 2019.

Anyway, give the below a watch if you want to relive the vicious destruction of your heart, otherwise known as the Toy Story ending.

You are absolutely lying/a monster if you didn’t just fucking lose it.
