Move the fuck over Dr. Karl, there’s a new doctor in Ramsay Street and he’s a familiar face, Dr. Tim Robards.
The former Bachelor took to Instagram to share the exciting announcement that he’s joined the cast of iconic Aussie soap, Neighbours.
“You may have been wondering why I’m flying back and fourth to Melbourne every week… Cats out of the bag… I’ve been quietly been putting In a lot of hard work and training behind the scenes and had an audition right before my wedding… must have done alright… I booked the Job!
So stoked and honoured to be heading to Ramsay St, joining the team for a guest role and becoming part of the Aussie icon that is @Neighbours Big thanks to all the encouragement from my family and support team to always expand my comfort zone and chase my dreams! #Neighbours #RamsayStreet#NewKidontheBlock.”
According to Channel 10, the 35-year-old fitness guru will play the role of Pierce Greyson, a super rich investor who “has more on his mind than just making money… romance is also on the cards and hearts could be broken”.
Robards’ character is a suave mix of “Harvey Specter, [a] sprinkle of Christian Grey and little bit of Robert Redford”.
Tim’s followers appeared to be stoked with his surprising move and have applauded his new role in the comments section, noting that they might actually start watching it again.
“I never watch neighbours so no idea….but I will now when you make the appearance,” wrote one fan, while another added, “I’ll start watching neighbours now ????.”
A third user wrote: “All of a sudden I want to start watching Neighbours again.”
Robards will make his soap debut in October. Hold on to your dumbbells.
