Look, Australia doesn’t celebrate Halloween to quite the same extent as our American cousins – yet. Somehow, our holiday traditions are built less on superstition and more on horse racing, football, and the indiscriminate claiming of continents.
That being said, if we did go full-bore on Halloween, Wolf Creek would probably be an absolute bloody holiday mainstay. And, in the fantasy world where Australia does go full-scale boonta for Halloween, this new teaser trailer for Wolf Creek’s second season on Stan probably feels especially well-timed.
Featuring our Akubra-donning anti-anti-anti-hero John Jarratt as he chases a bus full of naive tourists, the short little clip shows only the slightest hint of gore. It also shows Aussie champs Tess Haubrich, Matt Day, Ben Oxenbould, Laura Wheelwright, Stephen Hunter, and Chris Haywood touring towards their imminent demise.
Wolf Creek arrives this summer. We know that’s after Halloween, but shit, it’ll still scare the guts out of you.
