‘The Sinner’ Boss Drops Hints About Season 3 & There’s A Shitload Of Harry

The Sinner Season 3

If you’re anything like me then you’ve already devoured The Sinner Season 2 in all its creepy, cult-y glory and are impatiently waiting for The Sinner Season 3 to come into your life.

Well, a third season hasn’t even been confirmed yet by the show’s US home, USA Network, but honestly they’d be stupid not to greenlight a third outing because the entire world fkn froths this show.

Even though he’s yet to get the go-ahead to start shooting Season 3, the series’ showrunner Derek Simonds is already thinking about where it might go.

While he didn’t say anything about what crime The Sinner Season 3 would be centred around — so far we’ve had the unrelated cases of Cora Tanetti (Jessica Biel) stabbing a bloke connected to her past and Julian Walker (Elisha Henig) poisoning two people from his cult — but Simonds does talk about the show’s main character, troubled detective Harry Ambrose (Bill Pullman).

In Season 1, we’re introduced to his penchant for BDSM and in Season 2, we get a peek into his childhood through his “work” with cult leader Vera Walker (Carrie Coon). But there’s a lot this guy still needs to work through, which Simonds hinted to IndieWire might happen in The Sinner Season 3.

“I have a particular thought that would bring Ambrose on the next step of his personal journey,” he told the publication. “It’s a darker and scarier step. That’s all I’ll say.”

Derek, mate. SAY MORE.

While he wouldn’t divulge any specific details, Simonds did add: “Ambrose is our main character. We can’t resolve him quickly because he is the character we follow through these seasons. So, his journey is a longer one.”

USA Network, you know what to do.
