Disney has dropped the second trailer for its hotly-anticipated original series The Mandalorian, based in the Star Wars universe. And bloody hell, it looks brilliant.
Disney’s golden boy Jon Favreau serves as writer and executive producer, with Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Taika Waititi (What We Do In The Shadows), Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars), and Bryce Dallas Howard as directors.
In Favreau’s words, The Mandalorian is about a bounty hunter, scum and villainy, and pure chaos. It’s set after Return of the Jedi too, so that adds to things.
The official gist reads: After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far fron the authority of the New Republic…
Narcos’ Pedro Pascal fronts the cast with co-stars Gina Carano (Deadpool), Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), Emily Swallow (Supernatural), Carl Weathers (Predator), Omid Abtahi (American Gods), Werner Herzog (Grizzly Man), and Nick Nolte (Warrior).
Disney+ launches in Australia Tuesday 19, November. Suss the details right here.
HOW GOOD DOES IT LOOK?! I have goosebumps.
In related news, Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker debuted its final trailer last week. That baby will fly into cinemas December 19.
