The Biggest ‘Bachelorette’ Mystery Has Been Solved: Jourdan’s Ankle Boot

There’s a lot to be mystified about this season of The Bachelorette. What’s under Sam‘s hair? Did Apollo use magic on his muscles? How long will Sophie Monk put up with this lot of yahoos before swearing off men forever?

But the biggest mystery to come out of last night’s episode was Jourdan‘s sudden ankle boot.

Remember, this was the bloke who burst into tears at the first cocktail party because his girlfriend didn’t cheat on him, so he’d already cultivated a certain air of quackery.

But last night, he went from walking around on two perfectly good working feet to limping around on a boot. And with no reasonable explanation, either.

It makes sense that the show simply can’t show every little thing that happens, and in a jam-packed episode, simply didn’t have time to explain just how Jourdan came to injure himself. Still, it was particularly obvious given that he didn’t receive a rose and had to shame walk to Sophie in a boot, and viewers were super confused.

But as it turns out, the limp was the result of nothing more than a basketball injury.

Warner Bros Australia issued News.com.au with the following statement:

“Jourdan was injured during downtime in filming while playing basketball with the boys at the mansion. After being medically assessed it was suggested that he wear a moon boot to protect the leg from further injury.”

There you have it. Mystery, over, folks. Just some basketball with the (yeah) boys. Hoops with the lads. Injuries with the fellas.

Sometimes things are better left a mystery, tbqh.
