Bachelor alumni Tara Pavlovic has seemingly deactivated her Instagram account following the public announcement of her split from Sam Cochrane.
The two had met on Australia’s first season of Bachelor in Paradise earlier this year and quickly became the nation’s favourite for their down-to-earth and quirky nature. On the season finale, Sam proposed to Tara and the two became engaged.
Over the weekend, Sam first announced they had officially ended their engagement some time ago but only decided to make it public recently when they were both sure. Tara confirmed the news via her Instagram story moments later.
Reason for the sudden deactivation has not been shared. Some fans claim she was hacked while others believe it may have something to do with the recent comments flooding Tara’s Instagram. Despite a majority of fans leaving supportive comments, a handful have also left some upsetting ones on both Sam and Tara’s social medias – many accusing the latter of chasing after fame.
In her Instagram story Tara had written:
I don’t want anyone to think that we “faked” anything or that what you saw on TV wasn’t real. What we felt was 100% real and we both put our best efforts in to make it work in the real world but unfortunately for different reasons it didn’t work out.
I did love Sam very much and I wish him nothing but the best.”
Similarly, in part of his Instagram post Sam wrote:
I forgot about the cameras in Fiji and I simply fell in love. The truth is difficult but the path ahead will show the way.
Obviously there has been speculation for some time but I needed to know for sure before making anything public. That has been hard.
Our time together will always hold a beautiful and difficult place in my heart and I have to believe that everything happens for a reason.
Thank you everyone for the beautiful support and being on this journey. In a time that was mostly in hiding your words provided magic.
I look forward to the future. I got to see that love is real and powerful…. and it is. I’ll find it again.
