Taika Waititi & Jemaine Clement Rebooting ‘What We Do In The Shadows’ For TV

As if Taika Waititi wasn’t already having the time of his bloody (after)life, American telly network FX has ordered a television show pilot based on his cult 2014 horror-comedy hit What We Do In The Shadows.

The Thor: Ragnarok director, who co-directed and starred in the original flick, will helm the new project. As a bonus: old mate Jemaine Clement, who ran the thing along with Waititi, will return for writing and executive production duties.

While their on-screen portrayals welcomed viewers into a world where vampires exist in modern society – and in Wellington sharehouses – some newer faces will handle the upcoming pilot.

Kayvan Novak will portray head honcho bloodsucker Nandor, while The Mighty Boosh favourite Matt Berry will come in as Lazslo. Comedian Natasia Demetriou will also be gifted a pair of fangs.

As we await the new goodness, reacquaint yourself with the endlessly good Waititi’s original project below:
