Taika Waititi Is A Cheeky Lil’ Alien In The First Clip From ‘Rick & Morty’ S4

Rick and Morty

Adult Swim has finally unleashed our first proper look at Rick and Morty season 4 featuring fabulous man Taika Waititi… as an, uh, alien app developer (I think) named Glootie.

Straight to it.

Morty bashing the computers in the first seven seconds is a real big mood.

Earlier this week, creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland gave their first interview about the upcoming season, revealing Waititi’s guest role among others.

In the past we’ve seen the likes of Jemaine Clement, Nathan Fillion, Werner Herzog, and Susan Sarandon lend their voices to the show.

In season four, Roiland told Entertainment Weekly that Paul Giamatti, Sam Neill, and Kathleen Turner join Waititi.

Neill’s character will be of the “same species as Taika’s character” because the team “wanted a Kiwi flavour to their species.”

The boys said they’re also trying to schedule something with big Rick and Morty fan Kanye West. The artist, who has apparently watched every episode at least five times, won’t be appearing in the series anytime soon but Roiland said they “love the idea of doing something with him.”

“It’s just a discussion of what exactly that is, and then sitting down and talking with him. He had to reschedule, and then we had to reschedule. We need to sit down and chat about it. But it’s a very sincere and legitimate offer when we threw that out.”

Roiland also advised fans to watch all of season 3 before digging into the fourth season. It has been more than two years since season 3 premiered.

“Without giving anything away, we have serialised stuff we check in on now and then that’s sprinkled over the top of strong episodic episodes,” he continued. “To fans of the show, they’re going to want to watch them in order.”

Rick and Morty season 4 will finally hit screens this November.
