Superpower Dogs brings us up close and personal with some of the world’s most amazing dogs. In this immersive journey around the world, viewers will meet dogs like Halo, a puppy in training to join an elite disaster response unit in AmericaThere’s also a Canadian avalanche rescue dog named Henry, Reef the water doggo lifeguard who works with the Italian coastguard, a Californian therapy dog by the name of Ricochet, and the Bloodhound brothers, Tipper and Tony, who spend their days fighting to save endangered species in Africa.

As Evans says in the trailer, “What if our best friends are our best hope?”

Catch the trailer below.

MMMMMMMM.

To promote the trailer, Evans tweeted he was “so honoured to be a part of this. These dogs are truly amazing.”

According to the documentary’s website, the doco will be available in Australia. The only catch is… it’s only in MelbourneSuperpower Dogs will open on June 13, 2019 at Melbourne Museum IMAX.

If you don’t think you’ll be flying over to Melbourne for this event, then I highly recommend Netflix‘s dogumentary Dogs.  The six-part docuseries may look like a simple feel-good watch but actually, it’s a one way ticket to Sob Fest 2019.

For example: in episode two of the series, we journey between Berlin and Syria as Ayham – a Syrian refugee – attempts to smuggle his husky Zeus out of war-torn Damascus. The intense and emotional episode takes us through the work of numerous people who, despite knowing the very real dangers of the operation, forge ahead to try and reunite Zeus with Ayham.
