You might’ve only believed it when your shit turned purple and smelled like rainbow sherbet, but Super Troopers 2 is actually happening, and it’s coming very, very soon.
The Broken Lizard gang quite famously raised a incredibly large amount of cash via Kickstarter to put together a long-awaited sequel to the cult 2001 film, and today we’ve finally got our first full trailer for the follow-up, in all its glorious, red-banded magnificence.
The plot of the new one is fairly simple: The Vermont Highway Patrol team are called in to set up a new station in a disputed zone of Canada, amid a border dispute where America suddenly lays claim to a small town in Quebec.
Far-fetched? A little. Wholly ridiculous? Definitely. Plenty of room for shenanigans? You bet your sweet ass.
All the old gang is saddling back up in this flick, with the added cast additions of Rob Lowe, Will Sasso, Emmanuelle Chriqui, and Lynda Carter, among others.
Fittingly, the flick is scheduled to light up cinemas on April 20. That’s the weed day, for those of you keeping score at home.
