The good news keeps coming for fans of the pure and wholesome delight that is Brooklyn Nine-Nine. We recently found out new episodes of the show will be arriving in January, and overnight, main cast member Stephanie Beatriz announced that she is all set to direct her first ever episode!
Beatriz made the announcement on Instagram, saying that she is “truly honoured” that she has been given the chance to direct an instalment of the show, the script for which was written by Lang Fisher, who previously penned a number of episodes of The Mindy Project.
She added that she is “super excited” for fans to see the finished product, saying:
“Directing was truly the scariest and most rewarding thing I have ever taken on, and I’m so utterly grateful that NBC and our creator Dan Goor trusted me with this incredible opportunity. Thank you to my cast mates who inspired me and encouraged me to try my hand at something so daunting. And a million thank yous to the incredible production team and crew of our show. You all are truly moving mountains … going into battle each day. I am honored to have witnessed your passion, drive, and heart.”
This has been a big year for Stephanie Beatriz, who recently tied the knot with Brad Hoss, in what truly sounds like the wedding of the year, no offence intended to Harry and Meghan.
