“He’s Full Of Shit”: Sophie Monk Hits Back At ‘Bachelorette’ Evictee Sam

The nation breathed a collective sigh of relief this week when Sophie Monk ousted Sam ‘Double Delight Rose’ Cochrane from The Bachelorette after what could fairly be described as a date from hell, and it appears there is no love lost between the two of them.

Yesterday, following his ousting from the show, voice-over artist and aspiring pop music mogul Cochrane stopped by Kyle & Jackie O on KIIS FM to try and talk up his game, saying that that, despite what we saw on the show, he kissed Sophie on one of their dates.

“On my first date we did kiss,” he said, “they just didn’t show it. It was great, it was really great.”

Sophie, whose stretch Hummer date with Sam was one of the more awkward things we’ve ever seen on the show, later called in to set the record straight, breathing pure fire on her hapless suitor and scorching the earth in the process.

According to Soph, the “kiss” wasn’t as romantic as Sam made out. She told the hosts:

“I gave him a rose and pecked him to be polite, and he goes, ‘can I have a peck?’ and I said ‘that was a peck’ and then he grabbed my head and I didn’t kiss him back … It made me feel really uncomfortable, so if they [producers] cut it out, that’s why.”

Things started going south for Sam during episode two, when he openly leered at Sophie’s breasts while dressed in a Robin Hood costume, at which point, she was probably palpably regretting giving him a guaranteed two dates and looking for a way out.

“He was performing for the cameras,” Sophie said, basically confirming everything we’d long-suspected. “He didn’t even look at me half the time.”

Sam’s exit leaves us with just five blokes going after Sophie’s heart, and while beautiful, perfect angel Apollo should definitely win, we can all pretty much agree that the whole thing is a stitch-up and that Stu‘s going home with that final rose, right?
