Pegg & Frost have been developing the horror-comedy series Truth Seekers through their production company Stolen Picture for a little while now, however the latest development is that Amazon has emerged bloody and victorious from a minor bidding war for the distribution rights to the wild-sounding show. As a result, it will be distributed globally via their Amazon Prime Video streaming service.

Per VarietyTruth Seekers will see Frost cast as Gus, “one-half of a ghost hunting duo,” who “team up to uncover and film paranormal sightings across the UK.” Throughout the series the pair will “stake out haunted churches, underground bunkers, and abandoned hospitals using an array of homemade ghost-detecting gizmos,” while “[sharing] their adventures on an online channel.”

The twist in the tale here comes where their “supernatural experiences grow more frequent, terrifying, and even deadly,” as they “begin to uncover a conspiracy that could threaten the entire human race.”

Pegg is set to play a character by the name of Dave, about whom little is known at this time.

Tenured UK producer Richard Webb will helm the project, which is expected to start shooting this coming September.

The series will consist of a reported eight episodes running to around 30 minutes each.

This will be the first time both Pegg and Frost have played starring roles alongside each other in a project since the conclusion of the The World’s End wrapped up the legendary Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy in 2013.

Might be time to set the ole’ Keen-O-Meters to Froth, folks. This has all the makings of a corker.
