Seth Meyers Is Hosting The 2018 Golden Globes & We Can’t Wait For Trump Burns

Seth Meyers Golden Globes

Following in the shoes of Jimmy Fallon, Tina Fey & Amy Poehler and Ricky Gervais, it’s been announced that Seth Meyers will be hosting the 2018 Golden Globe Awards.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has confirmed that the host of Late Night With Seth Meyers has signed on for the coveted gig, which will held on January 7 (US time) and give out gongs to the best and brightest in film and TV.

In a statement, HFPA president Meher Tatna (calmly and professionally) frothed on the former SNL cast member as the happy news was announced.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association is excited to have Seth Meyers host the 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards. With his natural comedic wit and innate ability to charm audiences, Seth will help us carry on the celebratory tradition of recognising the best in television and film at the Party of the Year.

Fans of Meyers’ show will also be very familiar with his brand of political-driven humour. The 43-year-old is not afraid to skewer US President Donald Trump at any given opportunity – unlike his Globes hosting predecessor Fallon.

We low-key cannot wait for him to make his A-list audience awkwardly squirm and politely laugh as he goes in on Trump next January.

Meanwhile, all the Globes nominations will be announced on December 11 (US time). We’ll update you, of course, so you can get your tipping contests / drinking games sorted.
