Sean Hollands, one of the most genuine cobbers to ever appear on Married At First Sight, will soon follow up his televised wedding with a real one.

Hollands, a Queensland farmer whose sincerity provided a blessed bright spot during the show’s 2017 outing, yesterday popped the question to partner Roslyn Buerckner at the Melbourne Cup.
Taking to Instagram, the ever-hatted fella shared a video of the moment she said yes.

Their engagement comes well after Hollands split from his Married At First Sight counterpart Susan Rawlings; despite their connection on the show, the duo agreed the distance between Hollands’ farm and Rawlings’ home in Perth was insurmountable.
Hollands and Buerckner went public with their relationship earlier this year, telling A Current Affair they met while volunteering for the equine outreach charity Healing Hooves.
“Horses are my life and I’m lucky to have found a lovely horse lady,” he told the program at the time.
Buerckner admitted she never watched Hollands on the show, but that obviously didn’t hamper his chances.

It’s been a big year for Rawlings, too. In May, she welcomed her first child, telling Woman’s Day “I can’t imagine going back to my old life now because I need to be here full-time to watch every new smile and milestone.”
