Today – on this lovely Boxing Day – you may already be deep in thought, absentmindedly watching the Test while devouring leftovers and daring to reflect on yet another year of your life gone. Well, not to make you feel even older or anything but Scrubs faves Zach Braff and on-screen best pal/IRL best pal Donald Faison celebrated Christmas together.
J.D. and Turk, alongside their brilliant co-stars, made us laugh for nine whole years before the show wrapped up back in 2010. But, as the pair like to share on social media, they’re still as close as ever, eight years on.
Most recently, Braff posted a piccie from his Christmas festivities with Faison.
Merry Christmas. ???????????? pic.twitter.com/jcZMDPbZCW

A little while ago, the glorious original cast – plus series creator Bill Lawrence – attended Vulture Festival. The cast had gathered to talk about the show’s impact and of course, about those potential reboot/film rumours.
At the time, Braff posted a family photo from the event which will make you feel ancient.

From left to right: that’s Judy Reyes as nurse Carla Espinosa, John C. McGinley as Dr. Perry Cox, Braff as J.D., Neil Flynn as the Janitor, Sarah Chalke as Elliot Reid, the show’s creator Lawrence, Ken Jenkins as Chief of Medicine Bob Kelso, Faison as Turk, and Robert Maschio as The Todd.
During the event, Lawrence told the media present that he wasn’t in any hurry to reboot the series or even create a film… despite Braff’s teasing caption.
“Sometimes reboots – not all the time – feel like a money grab,” Lawrence said per The Hollywood Reporter
“If we ever do it, we’ll do it as a short little movie or something else,” he continued. “I think the problem from me is I would just want to see where everyone is. I would want to see where their marriages are [as opposed to a huge event].”
This is the only proper way to end the yarn:
