Sacha Baron Cohen Returns To Screens This Fkn Sunday With ‘Who Is America?’

There have been teasers. There have been rumours. We’ve even witnessed former US Vice President Dick Cheney sign a goddamn waterboarding kit.

Now, we know Sacha Baron Cohen‘s latest project is the Showtime series Who Is America?, and streaming platform Stan says it’s arriving in Australia on Sunday.

The seven-part, half-hour comedy series has been billed as an irreverent, provocative look at the kind of folks who populate the United States in the Trump era.

So, it’s par for the course for a bloke who has built a career out of eliciting cooked responses from unsuspecting interviewees.

You can have a peek at the kinds of characters Baron Cohen developed over the past year in Stan’s official teaser trailer. Keep an eye out for face tatts and Pussy Hats:

Of course, that clip came after Baron Cohen pumped out some clips on his own Twitter page:

The first episode will hit Stan at 3pm on July 15, and will release weekly after that.

With any luck, the series will finally provide a substitute to all of the goddamn Borat quotes which still kick around our heads.
