Here’s Ryan Reynolds Calmly Doing An Interview While Shit Blows Up Behind Him

Explosions. Big. Loud. Sudden. And if you’re a major Hollywood action star, part and parcel of the job. While you or I – John Normalmen by all accounts – might flinch or scream to high heaven in the event of one, actors have gotta be zen about this shit and train themselves to not flinch when the booms go off. Case in point: Ryan Reynolds.

Old mate is currently filming Michael Bay‘s latest explosions-over-plot extravaganza known as Six Underground, which Netflix snapped up the distribution rights to quicker than a hiccup.

While on set, Reynolds paused briefly to give fans some insight as to what working with Bay is like, while some very Bay-like bullshit was going on in the background.

What does he like best about Bay’s directing? The quiet moments. The stillness. The serenity of it all.

That tiny little flinch just as a goddamned sedan flies through the frame though… We all see it. He’s human after all! Celebrities, etc!

There’s not a lot of info available on Six Underground just yet beyond the fact that Bay is directing it, Reynolds is starring in it, and so is Dave Franco because why the hell not.

Beyond that, it’s anyone’s guess. Explosions and guns and boys doing a crime and big-budget hijinx, probs.

Standard Michael Bay-level stuff, you’d reckon.

Will grumble about when it appears. Will still watch regardless, no doubt.
