Ryan Gosling’s New Super Intense Trailer For ‘First Man’ Has Landed

Sensing the other Ryan has been enjoying his time in the spotlight for too long, Ryan Gosling’s team has alerted the world of his new upcoming film called First Man. It’s a biopic about Neil Armstrong, the astronaut and first man to imprint the sole of his shoe on the moon.

It’s a space film which means three things:

  1. Intense scenes.
  2. Intense music.
  3. Intense sweating.

And bonus ‘thing’ No. 4 – uncontrollable clenching of one’s arse.

The trailer has la la landed on Youtube and already, it’s looking like a doozy of a space film. We’re talking Ryan Gosling, Claire Foy, and director Damien Chazelle – the man behind La La Land so there’s probably going to be a heap of Oscar talk for this flick. Spotlight writer and Academy Award winner Josh Singer also wrote the script so once again… Oscar, Oscar, Oscar.

As per the synopsis, the film focuses on Armstrong in the period between 1961 and 1969.

“Based on the book by James R. Hansen, the movie will explore the sacrifices and the cost—on Armstrong and on the nation—of one of the most dangerous missions in history.”

Dangerous mission in question? The Apollo 11 spaceflight.

Hansen wrote the New York Times bestseller biography back in 2005. You can find out more about it HERE.

Considering a trek to the moon is no average assignment, there was a heap of politics involved especially because of a little competition between the United States and the Soviet Union. Not to mention the serious risk of death in undertaking such a mission.

The trailer debuted on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Friday and judging by it, we can expect a very stressful cinema viewing complete with the aforementioned intense music.

First Man will land in cinemas October.

Meanwhile, other Ryan interviewed his twin brother Gordon Reynolds yesterday to talk about his role as Aviation Gin owner, Father’s Day and Deadpool 2.

You can snort at it below:

(Reynolds really did recently purchase Aviation Gin.)
