A Brand New Season Of Russell Coight’s ‘All Aussie Adventures’ Is Coming

In proof that we really are living in a golden age of television, Network Ten has today confirmed that a brand new season of Russell Coight‘s All Aussie Adventures will be headed to our screens in 2018.

The original show ran for two seasons back in 2001 and 2002, chronicling the disastrous adventures of would-be wildlife expert and bushman Russell Coight (Glenn Robbins) across the Aussie outback.

Speaking to Ten Daily about the announcement, Coight himself said:

“I’m very excited to be back. This new series will have a strong focus on camp cooking (we were thinking of calling it MasterCoight) with a different marsupial mystery box each week.”

After its original thirteen-episode run, the show developed a cult following, and inspired a 2004 TV movie, Russell Coight’s Celebrity Challenge.

In 2016, a change.org petition to bring the show back gathered 13,000 signatures, saying:

“The current generation are unaware of the dangers of salt-water crocodiles in dark alleys, or the fact that they can grow up to 20 feet (although most of them only grow 4). These important outback facts are vital to the upbringing of a generation who so desperately need someone to stand up and show them the right way to live.”

The exact date of the revival has not been announced, but the show’s eight-episode third season will reportedly be coming to Ten and the Tenplay streaming platform soon.
