Rove! He’s back! In panel show form!
Unavoidable 2000s television presence Rove McManus will return to the small screen with a brand-new outing called Show Me The Movie!, which, as you may have inferred, will seek to extract film knowledge from its contestants in a comedic manner.
McManus will host the thing. Show Me The Movie! will see him deliver hot silver screen Q’s to two teams, captained by comedian Joel Creasey and Offspring champ Jane Harber.
A rotating roster of guests will fill out the cast, including “visiting international stars” in all of their radiant glory.
In a statement, McManus admitted “like many people, I enjoy going to the movies, so combining that with my love of television should make this the perfect vehicle to have fun with.”
Expect the show to borrow a little from the Spicks And Specks playbook. Paul Clarke, that show’s creator, is co-helming Show Me The Movie! with Ben Davies, who previously worked on Bondi Rescue. Paul Leadon will executive produce.
The weekly show will appear on Channel 10 at some point in the near future.
