Robin Wright Shares Blood-Soaked Teaser For Final ‘House Of Cards’ Season

House Of Cards has officially wrapped production on its final season, and the star of the show, Robin Wright, took to Instagram recently to share a blood-soaked teaser image, hinting at ominous things to come in the final batch of episodes.

“As of last Friday, we finished filming the final season of House Of Cards,” the actress wrote in the photo’s caption. “Working with our cast and crew has been an absolute joy. We became a family and I will miss you all and the nonstop laughs!”

The image shows Robin Wright’s character, President Clare Underwood, with literal blood on her hands, in what could be a reference to the fate of her husband Frank Underwood, played by Kevin Spacey before his exit from the show.

Then again, this is House Of Cards, so it could also be a reference to any number of horrible and underhanded things that Clare Underwood is going to do once the new season kicks off. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Spacey’s Frank Underwood resigned as President at the conclusion of the show’s fifth season, shortly before real-life allegations of sexual abuse and misconduct saw the disgraced actor fired from the series, as Netflix cut all ties with him.

Wright reportedly stepped up and has become the driving force behind the sixth and final season of Cards, which is set to premiere later this year, and will also feature veteran actors Diane Lane and Greg Kinnear in new roles.
