More than two years after the premiere of its third season, Adult Swim has finally announced that a new season of Rick & Morty is on the way.

Announced at a WarnerMedia presentation in New York, the characters themselves dropped the news via a video, which goes down exactly as you’d expect. You can check it out below.

You heard it right there, folks, season 4 will air in November of this year. Other than a vague release window, that’s pretty much all we know about the upcoming season so far, but it’s safe to assume it’ll be a delightfully wild time.

Last year, the series’ creators, Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, signed a mammoth deal with Adult Swim which will see them deliver 70 episodes over the coming years. The huge order will take the total number of Rick & Morty episodes to 101. A good number if you ask me.

As for how many episodes season 4 will have, we don’t that just yet but I’d say it’ll probably be 10. Season 1 had 11 episodes, while 2 and 3 both had 10.

Again, we don’t know where the season will be available here in Australia, but it’ll likely be Netflix as it was for the previous season. Hopefully, they’ll have the episodes air the same day as the US this time, because having to wait a couple of days last time was bullshit.

Either way, it’s good to know that more Rick & Morty goodness isn’t too far off.
