‘Narcos’ Pedro Pascal Joins The Almighty ‘Wonder Woman 2’ Cast

As if the Wonder Woman sequel couldn’t get any better, fan-fave in everything he does, Pedro Pascal has joined the party as a ‘key character’. Known for his roles on Narcos as DEA agent Javier Peña and as Oberyn Martell on Game of Thrones, Pedro is a much welcomed addition to the DC Universe.

Variety first published the exclusive report overnight although Pedro’s actual character in the film is still under wraps. But judging by his past Hollywood stints, he’s either going to kick arse or die or both. Can’t wait.

Pedro happily confirmed the news on his Instagram earlier today.

Legend.

Since the news broke, some DC fans are already guessing Pedro will be playing some sort of god (not that he isn’t already) while other fans have their money on Dr. Tom Leavens, a sort of mate of Cheetah. Although if you know what happens there… you might not be too excited. But when you think about it, Pedro could honestly play anyone. DC is endless, after all.

While we’re on the rumour train, it’s worth mentioning fans believe the film will be another historical adventure AKA a flashback that will make us cry again, and could be set during or toward the end of the Cold War in the 1980s.

One thing’s for sure though. If the Lasso of Truth finds its way around Pedro, we can all definitely expect some witty banter.

Pedro will be joining Gal Gadot and Kristen Wiig in the highly anticipated sequel. The latter recently confirmed to play villain and arch-nemesis, Cheetah.

The film, directed by Patty Jenkins, is set for release December 13 2019.
