Osher Günsberg has been tapped to host the Aussie version of The Masked Singer, one of the most batshit crazy competition shows out there right now, and we’re excited to see how this goes.
For those who are unfamiliar, The Masked Singer features celebrities hidden away under elaborate disguises as they attempt to show off their vocal chops.
Ryan Reynolds performed as a unicorn on the South Korean version of the show, while T-Pain won the first US season, beating the likes of Tori Spelling and Ricki Lake.
Speaking about his new hosting gig, beloved Bachelor regular Osher Günsberg said: “[it’s] such an out-there show, such a wild format, and I can’t wait for people to see it.”
He added that while he still enjoys officiating rose ceremonies on the long-running dating show, “this is a very different side of what I do, and I’m thrilled.”
All that’s left now is to speculate wildly about which local celebrities will find time in their packed schedules to be part of The Masked Singer Australia.
It would be a crime not to get Shane Warne involved, and surely Sam Dastyari, Honey Badger, Holly Valance, Courtney Act, Sophie Monk or even Magda Szubanski would be up for it.
