The Official Trailer For Stan’s ‘Looking For Alaska’ Series Is Three Minutes Of Teen Angst

Looking for Alaska

My friends, prepare for ANGST because we finally have our first official trailer for Looking for Alaska, based on the novel of the same name by John Green. You absolutely read this book – all of his books – in high school.

Looking for Alaska introduces us to Miles “Pudge” Halter (Charlie Plummer of The Clovehitch Killer) as he enrols in a boarding school to go and – as he says – “seek a Great Perhaps.” There, he inevitably falls in love with the mysterious Alaska Young (Kristine Forseth of Sierra Burgess is a Loser) and gains some loyal mates. But after an unexpected tragedy strikes, Miles and his friends attempt to pick up the pieces of their new reality.

The series co-stars Danny Love, Jay Lee, Landry Bender, Sofia Vassilieva, Uriah Shelton, Jordan Connor, Ron Cephas Jones (This Is Us), and Timothy Simons (Veep).

All eight episodes of the undoubtedly angsty series will premiere on Hulu October 18. In Australia, the good people at Stan will stream the series. Thank you, Stan. Love you, Stan.

Hulu’s frenemy Netflix also has a John Green adaptation in the works. The streaming giant is working on an adaptation of Let It Snow, co-written by Lauren Myracle and Maureen Johnson.

Let It Snow is a holiday romance which begins right as a terrible snowstorm buries the residents of Gracetown on Christmas Eve.

The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina star Kiernan Shipka leads the cast and is joined by Shameik Moore (Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse), YouTube star Anna Akana, Jacob Batlon (Spider-Man: Homecoming), Isabela Moner (Instant Family), Odeya Rush (Dumplin’), and our very own Aussie actors Mitchell Hope from The Descendants and Liv Hewson, otherwise known as Abby Hammond from Santa Clarita Diet.

And unlike Looking for Alaska, this baby’s going to be a movie.

Stay tuned.
