In very, very important TV/Netflix news – there’s a fresh original animated series coming soon and it’s called The Dragon Prince.

Corny, you say? Well I thought the same until the humongous streaming giant informed us mere mortals that Aaron Ehasz – the head-writer and director of Avatar: The Last Airbender and the game director of the second and third Uncharted, Justin Richmondhave teamed up for the series.

Bardel, the studio that also produces Rick and Morty are a part of this baby, too.

In other words – childhood nostalgia on ‘roids.

They’re being extremely hush about the entire thing because Comic Con’s on the way but according to the streaming giant’s @seewhatsnext Twitter account, The Dragon Prince is an animated series about “two human princes who forge an unlikely bond with the elfin assassin sent to kill them, embarking on an epic quest to bring peace to their warring lands.”

KEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN.

You can suss the impressive tweet, below:

The series will make an appearance at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con so keep an eye on your Twitters. There may or may not be grainy 10 second videos of a trailer and release date details floating around on the internet during the event.

For old time’s sake:

Also-also-also remember this episode?

HahHHahHah, cant wait to have my heart broken again.

In more very exciting Netflix original animated series news, Castlevania’s highly-anticipated second season will finally land on the streaming service come October 26. After dumping just four eps on us, each an incredibly cruel 23 minutes long, Netflix have given us eight beautifully gory episodes.

Castlevania has the voice talents of Richard Armitage (Ocean’s 8, The Hobbit, North and South) Graham McTavish (Outlander, The Hobbit, Rambo) Alejandra Reynoso (The bloody Winx Club !!!), and James Callis (Bridget Jones’s Diary, Battlestar Galactica, Austenland).

Join the excruciatingly long wait by giving Castlevania season one a watch on Netflix, now.
