SCANDAL: Veteran ‘Neighbours’ Actress Sprung Trying To Rig The Logies Votes

No more living vicariously through all the scandal that goes down at the Hollywood award ceremonies, we’ve got our very own homegrown stitch-up right here at the Logies.

According to a WILD new report, a Neighbours star was allegedly caught scamming the Logies system so that two actors from the Aussie soap could score a nomination – and it bloody well worked.

Surprisingly the culprit wasn’t the bloke who plays longtime villain Paul Robinson who has been wreaking havoc on Ramsay Street since the ’80s, it was actually sweet-as-pie veteran actress Colette Mann, who plays Sheila Canning.

Daily Mail Australia reports that Mann encouraged overseas fans to vote for co-stars Ryan Moloney (AKA Toadie and his sick mullet) and Eve Morey to be shortlisted to win a Logie Award.

“I am telling all you fabulous people who love Neighbours and who do not live in Australia how to vote for the brilliant Eve Morey and Ryan Moloney for the Logies,” Mann petitioned fans on social media.

She instructed: “Google whitepages.com.au and pick yourself an Australian address and postcode and Vote Vote Vote and then tell all your friends and family to do the same.

“Neither Eve nor Ryan are on social media and do not blow their own trumpets or ask people to vote for them. So I am doing it for them as I admire their talent, their grace and their attitude to the work above all else.”

just whack in the address of the harbour fucking bridge mate, they’ll never know

One fan described her suggestion as “sneaky” but rolled with it anyway, as per the below screenshot.

Despite this trickery, TV Week’s editor Thomas Woodgate insists that overseas votes weren’t counted.

“Look, I did see that certain actors and actresses on the show were encouraging people from overseas (to vote), but I think what people probably don’t know is that Roy Morgan manages the verification of all the votes on behalf of the TV Week Logie Awards,” he told news.com.au.

“What happens is once all the votes come in, a very detailed verification process is put in place, and what that does is eliminate all invalid votes, and that includes any international votes from that final tally. They make absolutely sure that only votes with valid contact information from local voters are valid.”

He went on to say that the list of votes was audited by Ernst and Young.

“We here have full confidence in the process,” he said.

Look, whether you believe endorsing this loophole was dodgy as hell or if you think the falsified votes still got counted is up to you but both Moloney and Morey scored nominations following Mann’s campaigning, is all I’m saying.
