EVERYTHING IS OK AGAIN: NBC Picks Up ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ For Sixth Season

FRIENDS, YOU MADE IT HAPPEN! Brooklyn Nine-Nine will be returning to its rightful home on NBC for its sixth glorious season.

And look, the cast and crew have tweeted about it so it’s real, this is no rumour, it’s real. The emotional roller coaster is OVER.

According to Variety  NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt said “Ever since we sold this show to Fox I’ve regretted letting it get away, and it’s high time it came back to its rightful home.”

Greenblatt went on to say, “Mike Schur, Dan Goor, and Andy Samberg grew up on NBC and we’re all thrilled that one of the smartest, funniest, and best cast comedies in a long time will take its place in our comedy line-up. I speak for everyone at NBC, here’s to the Nine-Nine!”

HELL YEAH.

It’s still extremely early days but Season Six will reportedly return with thirteen episodes, which is different but no one’s complaining, and will most likely air in 2019.

As you may or may not know, this all came about yesterday when some dumb fuck at Fox decided to cancel B99 because of an apparent dip in ratings. B99 was one of a string of shows axed but it was clearly the one that really struck a chord.

Streaming services Hulu and Netflix were tipped to rescue the show but neither did, your bloody loss mates.

The current season of B99 will wrap May 20 when Jake ties the knot with Amy.
