Yr Fave Podcast ‘My Dad Wrote A Porno’ Could Be Copping A US TV Adaptation

The popular podcast My Dad Wrote A Porno – which features James CooperJamie Morton, and Alice Levine reading excerpts of ‘Belinda BlinkedCooper’s dad’s erotic novel that he published under the very horny pseudonym of Rocky Flintstone – is looking like it’s going to get adapted into a television series for the US, hopefully in the near future.

As reported by Deadline, Cooper confirmed at the Edinburgh International Television Festival that after a failed attempt at a pilot for British tv, American executives have been in chats with the Porno team since late last year, and now they’re finally making progress.

It’s not yet known how exactly the tv adaptation will look (Cooper said that animated and musical ideas have been thrown around) but honestly how does one turn the discovery of a parent’s secret double life as a raunchy smut-writing novelist through the squirrelled away copy of their 50 Shades Of Grey-esque erotica without it being something that you’d normally see in the wee hours of the morning on SBS?

The podcast is already hugely successful, with the trio now reading Mr Cooper/Rocky Flintstone’s works to massive, sold-out venues across the world. Because what better things to do with your professional working life than earning you keep reading the filth that your own dad has penned to a huge room packed out with absolute strangers.

We’ll keep you updated on this one, but until then, catch up on all three books released so far because Book Four launched today (!!!) – you’re welcome.
